Hi there!

My name is Mantej, and I am a scientist and creator.

Also an amateur pepper grower, and stand-up comedian.

I am currently a PhD Candidate in Dr. Nicholas Durr’s Computational Biophotonics Lab at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. My research focuses on building miniaturized microscopes for non-invasive imaging. I work on building really tiny scopes (~1-2mm) that fit into the tightest of places.

Outside of research, I have a wide variety of interests. Some of my current interests are: growing my own hot peppers to make hot sauce, rock climbing, playing beach volleyball and doing stand-up comedy. If you have any questions about the work I do or want to reach out, feel free to contact me!
