About Me

I grew up in Singapore and went to Rice University in Houston, TX for college. I studied Computer Science and had internships in both research positions at MD Anderson and worked in industry at companies such as Hipmunk and Lutron Labs. I graduated in 2022 and moved to Baltimore, MD to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine under the guidance of Dr. Nicholas Durr.

I enjoy combining my passions in medicine and algorithms to build medical devices that I hope will benefit the lives of many one day. I live by the concept of Frugal Innovation – Designing cost-effective open source inventions that anyone can build and maintain. In my free time, I enjoy reading on a wide variety of topics such as Functional Programming, Hot Sauce Making, and Automatic Irrigation Systems.
